WEBVTT 00:01.820 --> 00:04.042 Hi , my name is Master Sergeant Allison 00:04.042 --> 00:06.289 Hug , and I co-coordinated the Civilian 00:06.289 --> 00:08.699 Employer Day 2nd annual boss lift with 00:08.699 --> 00:10.260 Rob Gorsey and the ESGR . 00:14.380 --> 00:16.680 Today went absolutely amazing . We had 00:16.680 --> 00:19.510 about 17 employers that were here for 00:19.510 --> 00:22.069 the event . They all employ military 00:22.069 --> 00:24.125 service members . They were learning 00:24.125 --> 00:26.291 about law . They were able to get into 00:26.291 --> 00:28.458 a Chinook helicopter , learn about our 00:28.458 --> 00:30.125 missions from the engineering 00:30.125 --> 00:32.458 installation squadron , security forces , 00:32.458 --> 00:34.625 or MQ-9 mission . I actually different 00:34.625 --> 00:36.847 this year that we didn't have last year 00:36.847 --> 00:39.013 was we were able to incorporate the 56 00:39.013 --> 00:41.069 Striker Brigade , army entities that 00:41.069 --> 00:40.830 are here on base , which was absolutely 00:40.830 --> 00:43.040 amazing . They were . And then of 00:43.040 --> 00:45.262 course the best part of the day was the 00:45.262 --> 00:47.151 Chinook flight . Um , that was an 00:47.151 --> 00:49.373 amazing experience . The Chinook flight 00:49.373 --> 00:51.596 was just absolutely phenomenal . We had 00:51.596 --> 00:53.818 to fly over my house , which was really 00:53.818 --> 00:53.529 cool on top of the stadiums and 00:53.529 --> 00:55.585 everything . I think a lot of people 00:55.585 --> 00:58.409 support the military as is , but , um , 00:58.840 --> 01:00.951 to get to see what our National Guard 01:00.951 --> 01:03.200 members and reserve members do , um , 01:03.400 --> 01:05.690 day in and day out is it's really eye 01:05.690 --> 01:08.319 opening , um , and it really gave me a 01:08.319 --> 01:10.690 new perspective of how . The highlight 01:10.690 --> 01:14.010 of my day was the Chinook ride and 01:14.010 --> 01:16.449 seeing the MQ-9 mission . That was 01:16.449 --> 01:18.393 incredible . I didn't know what to 01:18.393 --> 01:20.505 expect and what really goes into that 01:20.505 --> 01:22.449 program . The Major General made a 01:22.449 --> 01:24.338 great point too that the military 01:24.338 --> 01:26.449 personnel , their training is so much 01:26.449 --> 01:28.338 deeper than somebody just off the 01:28.338 --> 01:30.171 street . Responsibility , can do 01:30.171 --> 01:32.282 attitude , leadership skills that all 01:32.282 --> 01:34.616 benefits us as employers , but honestly , 01:34.616 --> 01:36.727 and the other way around , it's a way 01:36.727 --> 01:38.893 to give thanks . I mean , the military 01:38.893 --> 01:41.005 staff are dedicating so much of their 01:41.005 --> 01:43.116 lives , putting their lives in a line 01:43.116 --> 01:45.282 literally for us . The least we can do 01:45.282 --> 01:47.393 is try to give them opportunities and 01:47.393 --> 01:49.560 help them develop . I would absolutely 01:49.560 --> 01:51.393 recommend this to other civilian 01:51.393 --> 01:53.171 employers just from a curiosity 01:53.171 --> 01:53.129 standpoint , it was really wonderful , 01:53.379 --> 01:55.580 but also to actually get to learn and 01:55.580 --> 01:57.779 see what goes on and the things that 01:57.779 --> 02:01.180 they're doing to help protect us here 02:01.180 --> 02:03.260 in the country is really awesome . I 02:03.260 --> 02:04.419 hope to get to do it again .
