BIDDLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Pa. -- The 111th Attack Wing here promoted the 103rd Attack Squadron’s senior enlisted leader to chief master sergeant, the Air National Guard’s highest enlisted rank, in a ceremony held at the Wing headquarters April 2, 2022.
Chief Master Sgt. Christopher, 103rd ATKS Senior Enlisted Leader and Superintendent, was promoted by Lt. Col. Pete, 103rd ATKS Commander, who also presided over the ceremony.
“I couldn’t be happier for Chief Christopher and his family upon his promotion,” said Pete. “Reaching this level is just a testament to the exemplary leader he is--a hardworking professional who has dedicated himself to being technically and tactically proficient, and more importantly, dedicated to taking care of his people.”
Christopher brings more than 24-years of Air Force service with him as he reaches the apex of Air Force enlisted ranks. He has 10 years of active-duty service, seven with the Air Force Reserve, and seven more with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
With more than two decades of service to his nation under his belt, Christopher couldn’t help but reflect and be thankful for all the support he got along the way, as he stood in front of those gathered at his promotion.
“I have a deep sense of gratitude for the support everyone has given me, both in the 111th ATKW and the 111th Operations Group,” Christopher said. “It’s an honor to stand amongst the great men and women of this Wing. Of course, the biggest thanks goes to my wife and family, who have supported me throughout my military career. None of this would be possible without their love and support.”
Christopher, who has been assigned to the 103rd ATKS for nearly eight years, and has served as its superintendent since June 2020, shared some special thoughts about his commander and presiding officer for the ceremony.
“Lt. Col. Pete is the type of commander that only comes around once in a generation," Christopher said. “He is a natural-born leader who inspires and motivates people to greatness. We flew in combat together in both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no one I trust or admire more.”
