The 111th Attack Wing is celebrating Women's History Month by recognizing some of its own members throughout the month of March here. One such member is Staff Sgt. Sharia Stewart who serves as a 111th Attack Wing personnelist on base.

How long have you been in the military?
I've been in for a total of 17 years. I did 10 years in the active-duty Air Force and seven years with the Air National Guard. All seven have been here with this wing.

Were you always in this Air Force specialty?
No, actually I was a [aircraft weapons loader] in both active duty and the Guard. I more recently entered the personnel field.

What do you enjoy most about the Air National Guard?
Being here [as a member of the 111th AW] is like being with family. It's getting the chance to work around people that you actually enjoy being around. We all have our job to do; and we do it well because we want to ensure that we are taking care of each other.
