U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt. Christopher Botzum
Chief Master Sgt. Paul Frisco, Jr., anti-terrorism officer for the 111th Fighter Wing, Horsham Air Guard Station, Horsham Pa., provides last minute guidance to soap box derby competitor, Anne Lambert on June 14, 2013 in Pottstown, Pa. Frisco, a year-long volunteer and car builder for over 17 years was inspired by the program when his two sons Ryan and Dylan were less than 10-years old. Like his father, Dylan, now 21, continues to volunteer yearly performing track repairs, vehicle inspections and on-site maintenance. Hundreds of cheering spectators lined the streets in the afternoon the following day for the finals, as only thousands of a second race difference defined winners and losers.
