HORSHAM AIR GUARD STATION, Pa. -- Tech. Sgt. Susanna Gyger, 111th Attack Wing chaplain assistant, receives the Air Force Commendation Medal with first oak leaf cluster by Col. Howard L. “Chip” Eissler, 111th ATKW commander, during a commander’s call in the wing’s headquarters building Nov. 1, 2014, Horsham Air Guard Station, Pa.
Gyger, who has been part of the chapel staff since 2009, was recognized for her role in Operation Enduring Freedom, among other accomplishments.
As a Pennsylvania Air National Guard member, her military career began in 1987 as part of the 193rd Special Operations Group, Harrisburg, Pa. She joined the 111th ATKW in 1993.
