Mr. Lee dePersia (top center), Environmental Engineer with the 111th Attack Wing’s Civil Engineering Squadron here briefs Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, Pennsylvania 4th Congressional District, and her staff on environmental remediation efforts related to water quality and storm-water run-off during a tour of the newest water treatment plant at Biddle Air National Guard base in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Jan. 24, 2022. The tour included visits to various monitoring sites for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the groundwater, a new water treatment plant constructed for the base in 2017, and the new large-capacity surface water treatment system, which was constructed through a cooperative agreement with Warminster Township and went into operation August of 2021.
