Mr. Lee dePersia, Environmental Engineer with the 111th Attack Wing’s Civil Engineering Squadron here, talks with Senator Frank Farry, Pennsylvania State Senator representing the 6th Senate District of Bucks County’s, during a base tour to learn more about the 111th ATKW mission and to review the progress of improving the quality of base drinking water and groundwater/storm water run-off on Biddle Air National Guard Base in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Feb. 10, 2023. The tour, which included visits to what was once Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove, focused on monitoring sites for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in the groundwater, a new water treatment plant constructed for the base in 2017, and the new large-capacity surface water treatment system that went into operation Aug. 17, 2021.(U.S. Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
