Air Guard MQ-9 unit drops first-ever GPS/INS guided munition at Lithuanian range
A crater is left after the first-ever Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System-guided munition struck its target at an air-to-ground training range in Kazlu Ruda, Lithuania, May 15, 2023. The Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 111th Operations Group dropped the inert (non-explosive) GBU-38 JDAM using an MQ-9 piloted by a crew located at Biddle Air National Guard Base in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
