Our installation is committed to continued excellence, leadership, and stewardship in protecting the environment. Environmental protection is a management responsibility as well as the responsibility of every worker, tenant, contractor, and supplier. In keeping with this policy, our vision is to reduce waste through pollution prevention, continually improve our environmental performance by minimizing our impacts on the manmade and natural environment, and maintain compliance with all federal, state, local and other requirements applicable to our installation. Our basic tenents include: a. Environmental protection is a line responsibility and an important measure of worker performance. Every worker is responsible for environmental protection in the same manner as personnel and worker safety. b. Achieve continuous improvements in environmental performance over and above regulatory and legislative requirements. c. Maintain an effective Environmental Management System (EMS); promote the use of safe technologies and operating practices while minimizing adverse impacts to installation workers, their fami lies, the local community, and the environment. 2. Compliance with AF environmental policy and our commitment is the responsibility of every member of the Horsham Air Guard Station in accordance with their roles and responsibilities. All government and non-government personnel performing work or providing a service on our installation or on our behalf should strive to do so in an environmentally friendly manner and point out areas for improvement to our Environmental Management System Coordinator at 215- 323-8387. ~~ HOWARD L.
