Game was on during October’s regularly scheduled drill (RSD) as the 111th Attack Wing held a Commander’s Cup here on Oct. 14, 2023.

Tug of war, a sprint medley, pull ups, volleyball, basketball, corn hole, weightlifting made up the events. Each squadron at the 111th ATKW that participated leveraged their strengths and brought their A-game during this friendly competition, that encourages all personnel to be fit to fight.

“Fitness is such an important part of resiliency,” said 111th ATKW commence Col. Lynn Lee. “We have the social aspect, the camaraderie and everyone is knocking it out of the park.”

Bringing everyone together after the duty day for a friendly athletic competition put the One Team, One Fight concept into practice. It also drove home a common goal – to fly, fight and win.

“At the end of the day, this is how you break down those communicative barriers,” said Senior Master Sgt. Justin Greenhow, 111th ATKW First Sergeant. “Being able to take the rank off a little bit and just shaking it up with everyone as just another person.”

All squadrons put their best foot forward, but the 270th Engineering Installation Squadron ultimately dominated, earning themselves the honor of claiming the Commander’s Cup trophy.
